Guazhou, a place that constantly surprises me
On our way to the Yulin Grottoes, we came across a clear spring in the Gobi Desert
Gobi Clear Spring, commonly known as Langchai Valley, is located in the Gobi Desert 80 kilometers south of Guazhou County, Gansu Province. It is about a one-hour drive from the county seat. It got its name because it is deep in the Gobi Desert and there is a clear spring gushing out.
The Gobi Clear Spring Campsite is an outdoor campsite meticulously crafted by the Xuanzang Road team after years of arduous and persistent walking on the Gobi Desert, taking advantage of a unique clear spring deep in the Gobi
The Gobi Clear Spring is surrounded by mountains on the east, west and north sides. To the south lies the vast Gobi Desert, and in the distance is the snow-capped Qilian Mountains. On the mountain stream platform where the spring is located, there are cultural relics such as Han Dynasty pottery kilns, aquaperies and ancient coffins. It is a typical handicraft base in the northwest border of the Han Dynasty.
